Is one just as good as the other? I'm looking at the LSR and ProArmor kits at Motosport.

Should I get new levers? Is there anything cheap in levers thats worth having?

The block off plates do just about the same. I have the LSR one and its bolt on and finished. Clutch lever and perch are choice. I opted for the ASV F3 shorty refurbished on ebay. I got it for like $45. I like it

I just got a tusk at rockymountainatv.com. It comes with new bolts and o-ring and is cheap. you can still use the stock lever.

If you do get a lever, I highly suggest you get one with a cover for the cable(I don't know what its called).

ya i highly suggest the asv levers also, got both off ebay for like 120? the clutch does away with the parking brake, so i put a diff caliper on the rear also, so it doesnt have that gommy p-brake lever hangin out the side with no cable on it

I wouldn't have an ASV lever if it wasn't $20. Just make sure it has a cover. It helps your cable last longer.

Thats what a parking brake block off plate does..... So you dont have that garbage on the side of your caliper...

hmm show me a pic fo that then... id like to see it, i thought what everyone calls a parking brake block off was for up on your clutch lever, that's all i ever seen, if you wanted to keep your stock lever n stuff... i wondered if they made something like your talkin about, post a link of what it looks like or something.. you got one, maybe? got my caliper for free, think it came off a cr125 or 250? and needed levers anyway, so figured this was the best way for me, but id like to see what your talking about.

how do you even work the break ive never even tried to activate it i just leave it in gear

long as its not all rusted to heck, on ur stock clutch lever, there's a little button on there, push that then pull ur clutch, that locks in the mechanism that pulls on the other cable, which goes to ur rear break caliper, so, push the button, pull the clutch, and there is a little thing that slides to lock it... try that, i never used mine either, but i'm pretty sure that's how it goes if i remember correctly

Most people do this so you're not alone. Sandal up there^^^ is correct on the procedure but I just wanted to say if you've never used it before, you'll want to make sure that it returns all the way to it's starting position. It's easy for that mechanism to get dirty and stuck for sure. My wife's was stuck solid when she tried to use it. I had to pull it completely apart, clean and lube it. If it sticks on, it's going to make your brake drag while you're riding and prematurely wear out your brake pad, so like I said, make sure it fully releases after you use it.

Dirt wheels mag says when you put on the block off plate and get rid of the cable you will lose 12 lbs off of the weight of the bike !!! so you have everything to gain and nothing to lose especially if you never use the parking brake!!;)

Not just the caliper, but he's referring to the piece on the stock clutch lever for the parking brake. If you delete the P-brake assembly and keep the stock lever, you have that stupid parking brake feature flopping around because there's no cable attached to it anymore.

right! that's why i did the whole deal, do it right not twice....... right? lol id like to see a pic of what the stock caliper with the block off looks like though, if someones got it done, i went with whole dif. caliper, like i said i think it came off a cr125 or 250, maybe from the 90's?.. lol but it matched up to the bracket, so i just got it on that bracket, n she mounted right up. but like i said, i wanna see the stock caliper with the block off.. bet it looks pretty good

Another silly question...

Can I buy just the lever kit(both levers), or will I need a new clutch perch for some reason?

Also, I'm curious to hear opinions on F3 levers vs. C5 levers.

If you get just the clutch lever youll stil have the big bulky black thing on the handle bars. Get the clutch perch with lever and for the break side just get the lever.
