How do shocks act on different a arm lenghts?

I am looking for a deal on some shocks for my kids Blaster. I found some PEPs that where used on +2 arms, setup for 200#, MX.

If I put these like they are on stock arms I'm thinking they are gonna be way to hard right? Like setup for maybe 250#, MX?

I really need something setup for 175#, XC.

And how much would I expect to pay to get these setup how I want?

Yes they will be overly stiff

We charge $450 to $500 to fully revalve and respring a front pair of PEP shocks. If some of your springs could be reused the price goes down
