it runs ok but the valves seem to be pretty loud. idle is set pretty high cause i am afraid that it will die. it has stared on its like twice when it was warm if i pull the choke and give it small amounts of throttle really fast.

Don't give it gas while cranking! Your starter clutch will be toast in no time flat. It's more than likely your valves.

ok i got the starter replaced under the recal so it dont kick back anymore... how expensive is it to have honda adjust the valves or would it be cheaper to take it to a regular shop??

The starter clutch doesn't fix the "kickback". The new clutch can go bad just as fast as the old clutch did. The cheapest route to adjusting the valves is buying a manual and some shims, and doing it yourself. It's easy, and doesn't take much time at all. You will save alot of money in the long run.

You can get a kit at any kind of dealer or powersports store. C&D racing (site sponsor) could probably get you one. Use the search, and search for adjusting valves. It's been described in detail numerous times.

This is a good place to start. (http://www.hotcamsinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=cMedia.viewInstallationVideo&videoid=2 )
