taking off heel guards for nerf

just order nerfs (without guards) and i wanna take off the stock heel guards. what do i do to keep the plastics connected to a mount? is there specials mounts or something?

there are company's that make mounts but you can cut the aluminum peices of the stock heel gaurd that hold the fender

That's what I did, I just cut mine.

same here, just cut them...but i seem to have a problem bending the mounts when i lean into corners really hard...i actually put one into the chain this weekend

you dont have a grinder or anything like that will work really. or even a hack saw
