Does anybody know or have a guess at what the temperature of the exhaust pipe might get to assuming perfect jetting. I'm talking about the section of the pipe coming off the cylinder. Any help would be appreciated.

well diesel engines can run 1000 degrees exhaust temp while running under 200 degrees cooling temp. (i should know im a farmer) and they run like that all day long. so the exhaust should be hotter than the cylinder temp.

now im not sayin a 2-stroke can run that, but it defeneatly needs to be hotter than the cylinder temp.

I was wandering this myself. I have a handheld temp checker and was getting like 340 ish with a 431 Puma that I am tuning. I also agree that your exhaust temp wont be the same as your coolant but I dont know what exhaust should be. Seems like the hottest spots were down on the pipe where it starts to make the turn to the right and at the big part of the pipe.
