I flipped my front wheels around yester on my ex and think not only does it look better it handles better also. if you do this and do not want to put a differtn valve stem in u can just grind off some of the brake caliper. so far mine are holding up real nice after yesterdays hard riding.

this works good if you dont jump a lot but puts a lot of stress on the spindle and can break them after a while but if your jumping too high then its not as bad but can still give you problems

alright but its a fact that if you put more leverage on something it will fail quicker

You stand more of a chance bending tie-rods than breaking anything.

so should i flip the wheels back around so they are normal again? i dont really want to be messing with the tie rods

I run reversed front rims with +3 spacers.. Haven't had any probles yet, and I ride pretty hard. I think I may flip the fronts back to normal when I race, but I checked everything yesterday after bout a month of hard riding, and everything is in perfect shape.. The only thing flipping the rims around does is expose the caliper and disc, so watch out for rocks.

If you run flipped rims=+4 and +3 spacers you are at +7. You are deff not jumping much or you have a screwed up front end and you are used to it.

Get some pictures. Cause I wanna see this. That is alot just for rims and spacers.

That is nuts.

Heres a pic of mine. With the spacers, you dont even need to grind anything..

And from the driver's seat..

Thats one wide front end! Somethings gotta give though if your riding hard. I think i will just keep my stock front end, until i get my Elkas and +2 a-arms.

Haha.. I'm going to flip the rims back to normal.. Its obvious somethin will break. Guess I gotta save up for some +3 a-arms..

yea flip them back. not only will something probably go wrong but i did it for a while on my 250x, and i didn't like how it handled. it seemed to have alot of understeer, but that was probably just something needing adjustment.

not only does spacers and/or reversed rims cause stress on the spindles but it makes the quad handle alot worse. The bumb steer is increased. thats why top racers use a 4-1 offset rims. so there is less rim sticking out past the spindle. I have some 4-1 hiper rims and am waiting on a set of +3 Rp lt a arms. This setup will give me about 49.3 inches in the front end. You never want to exceed 50 inches for a few reasons. 1. its not legal in the AMA, 2. there is too wide, cause the quad to jump around in rough sections just like to narrow. 3. and its harder to manoever around someone while trying to pass them. +3 spacers with reversed rims is just.... Well im spechless. It was a good choice to put the rims back to stock postition. I can understand not wanting to spend the money on a arms but to do both is crazy.
