I recentley bought a 2004 yfz 450. The guy I bought it from was telling me something about putting like 06 or 07 cylinder on it and it in turn woudl make a stroker motor.I am wondering if this is really the case or was he just talking like he knew something and didnt?

Changing to a 06-07 cylinder would just increase the bore size, making 440cc's to 450cc, it would not increase your stroke.

They are all the same bore size. 06 and up have a longer stroke making them 449cc instead of 439cc.

My mistake, your right.

So basically putting a 06-08 cylinder won't do anything for ya :p .

you put an 06 or newer crank and rod as well as the head on it and it will become the stroker...
