what are the advantages/disadvantages of +1 a arms?

advantage is more stability.
Disadvantage 1" wider in tight woods...

im sorry i meant +1 inch forward the a arms im looking at are +1 +2. can anyone else help

+1 or +2 means the a arms are wider by one inch or two inches than the stock a arm width.....this is good for mx tracks so you have more stability in turns and such and lower the quad a bit i think so you have a lower center of gravity....not really recommended to use these if you ride in tight woods since it makes it harder to fit between the trees and such

so just the one inch forward in the front does improve the handling of the ex? i've seen people say it doesnt improve the ride of the 450r but hurts it. also does it make your front end weaker at all?

on my 416ex I didn't go forward at all so my extended arms were lonestar race arms +2+-0.

On my 450r 04 I had burgard +2+0, then switched to +2+1, I liked it better since im lighter and I have to move around alot anyways to keep traction, yes if you are what I call a statue when you ride you wont like it.

back to the ex, I tried a freinds with +1 forward I mean it rides ok but on the track I think it was a bit loose, could have been his tires though, he loves his itp holeshots, they ware too fast for me.
