Need some pointers

I have permission to shoot at a local speedway (dirt track cars).Most of the racing is done at night.Any tips on shooting cars on a lit track?Besides not standing in front of the cars :D

You nailed the first one:p

Flash, pan with the car. Probably have to run the flash at +EV

Set ISO to 400 with your Canon

Start at 1/500th at f5.6 and work it in.

Just stay out of the way of the things that go VROOOOMMMMM:D

If its to dark at that setting, walk the shutter speed down. Panning , you already know how to do so just work it until your getting what you want.
