pops on deceleration in 5th

i was out the other day and i was pushing the atv pretty hard. doing some long 5th gear pulls stuff like that. and i noticed a couple times that after doing a 5th gear pull that after letting off the gas the atv would pop and crackle a little and if i slowed down enough and pushed in the clutch it woudl stall out. if i gave it a second to clear up or restarted it it was fine. does this mean im running too lean or too rich?

well that sure sucks. theres a dial i should be able to run like on the 450r carb? which way do i turn it? i just wanna do this until i get the 450 carb on in the next couple weeks.

also whats the cheapest place for me to get a jet kit? i understand that the 400 and 450 carbs share jets so i might aswell invest in a kit. keeping in mind im in canada. also how much can i expect to pay?

i wouldnt get a jet kit.just go to your dealer and get the jets you need.if you dont have a dealer go to jetsrus.com

thanks for the help. is it a safe bet that i only need to jump one jet size?

i think if i end up with just one ill just wait to swap carbs and get jets based on how it runs from there. one last thing, i just bought the sparks key will i need to add fuel with this aswell?
