motor rebuild this fall??

this will be my first motor rebuild for my 05 450r and i have no clue where to start at..
ino for sure that im getting a full dasa exhaust and i want to run a 13:1 or 14:1 piston with race gas..
so what all do i need to look in buying when it comes to rebuilding a motor..
also i want to stay in the 450cc class

Personally I would not go with the 14:1 because it puts to much pressure on the crank. If I were you i would get it ported and polised, put a web cam in and some new valves and springs. If you still want more power then bump up the compression.
