:devil

i have a 400 ex with some modifications. i am trying to make it more powerful for climbing big hills and keeping up with the 250R's that i ride with. i have fmf exhaust with a pro circuit silencer, jetted, 18x11x8 holeshot mx on race wheels, 19x6x10 holeshot mx fronts, 14 tooth front sprocket, 36 tooth back sprocket, barnett clutch, white brothers rev box, and of course nerf bars.
i want more without doing a 440 kit or anything. any suggestions on changing the cam or that Curtis Sparks Advance Timing Key or anyother ideas would be appreciated.

i was thinging of changing cam, and piston and running race gas but is it worth at stock bore??

thanks for the help

You'll see a significant increase in power at all RPM ranges with a piston and cam combo. If you're able to do the work yourself, a 416 kit is cheap and easy. I have about $300.00 in mine.
Ross piston: $125.00
Stage II Hotcam: $129.00
Boring and ring setup: $40.00
Gaskets: $29.00
You'll easily be able to keep up with your buddy's 250R with these mods.

Yea its worth it, just bore to a 416 and run 11:1 with a good cam.
You'll be running with ds650s, raptors. even stock banshees.

Power cost big $ . For only $20 you can have a great shirt and support this site.

Bakerboyz...shut the he!! up man...your getting on everyones nerves, just stop. Theres a thread at the top of every forum that tell people where to buy them.

"Why sit at your computer and tell people to buy exriders t-shirts when you could be making money to buy them?!"

Just stop

I think you should put some thought into a big bore kit. It will give you the best performance, power gain, speed, etc.

BAKERBOYZ-WILL YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH...IM GETTING SO FREAKING SICK OF YOU MAN!!!!!!!!

It's more like modded Banshee's. Banshee's make the power, but don't have the traction to use it in most cases. In sand drags, both my EX and my Raptor eat up most Banshee's. Stock Banshee's are a piece of cake. I used to put the woop'in on my buddy's Banshee when he was stock and my EX was only piped and (XR) cammed.

You might want to consider a new carb too. Do you have to run race gas with a 11:1 ratio? If so is it 50/50 or 100% race fuel?
