iv herd that past 9200 a stock motor does not show any more power. it takes a heavily modded motor to da such. will a big gun rev box raise my rpms too high so i blow it up?

i just read that it is 9100 found this on another thread. A stock 400ex makes peak power at 7k RPM, the stock rev limit is 9100rpm so higher revs gains nothing on an internally stock EX engine.

I just looked in another thread on here and it said 8250.

Anyway, it will not blow your engine up. You can't even hit the rev limiter on a stock engine.

it has to be at LEAST 9100rpms. I've hit the rev-limiter a few times and all i had done to mine internally was an aftermarket clutch. If you ever do hit the rev limit, don't hold it long cause your valve seals won't take it. My dad messed mine up doin that.
