Just some FYI Sparks does not recommend their advanced timming key if your motor has any mods at all. It sounds like yours does you might want to give Sparks Racing a call and ask some questions before you spend your 30 bucks.

yeah there are alot of people that have done it but I would make some phone calls to see what sparks racing has to say about it first.

They dont really advise it because of overheating, I guess if you would run a bigger oil cooler or do the pull fan through the oil cooler it would help keep things cool

Sparks will say not to do it, I installed one anyway. The engine responded very well to the added timing.

For modded engines, it's a do it at your own risk modification.

Higher octane fuel and additional cooling are a must if one is set on installing a key in a modded engine. Jetting may also be affected by the key. I had to step up from a 230 to a 240 after the key install, and I'm thinking about going to a 245 or 250.

Even with 11:1 I'd recommend atleast 100 octane with the key installed.
