wont start

i have a brand new 08 z400 1month old and it worked and then it died i use it just for trail riding no racing and i never beat it and all of a suden it won't start the battery wants to crank ans start up but the engine won't catch so we are going to try to catch it in gear witch i don't think it will work? if you guys have any suggestions on what it might be tell me please

Is your air filter dirty and are your jets clogged, Have you had the valves re-shimmed because it is new they will need shimmed eventually

it is not the filter it is very clean it is not the jets and, because i haven't put 10 hrs on it so i think it could be an electrical

More than likely your battery isn't holding charge.

its most likely your battery i had the same probley my bike worked mint nothing wrong and then the battery just went and it would try to start but the battery did not have enough power to turn the bike over enough to completly start it try to jump it and if it starts and stays going you know that its your problem.also if it ends up being your battery take it back to the dealer they will give you a new one if it is bad

ya thanks k-f-x440r that might just be it we took it to the dealer but they didn't get back to us it is either wat you said or it is not getting spark
