I bought an FMF Fatty pipe & silencer off ebay; it's not the TRX5 that I wanted, but for just over $100 bones, I couldn't beat it at least for right now.

My question is, where does the expansion chamber hard-mount to the bike at? Is it the lower-right-front motor mount? I have my top end off so I can't really say, but that's what it looks like, and it appears I'll have to make some sort of spacer/bracket.

Any ideas?

most all of the ones i've dealt with require that they be mounted at the front engine mount and will require a bracket.

It is a little rubber mounted isolater bracket.

I have a pro curcuit pipe and silencer, I believe they are exactly the same as the FMF pipes. (I have both and they are identical side by side). I used the OEM single bolt exhaust hanger attached to the front hole on the engine bracket on an 86 OEM frame. Had to use a bit longer bolt for the distance and a couple washers to make it line up straight, but fit pretty well.
