A small flat head screwdriver that is just big enough to fit in the slot and tap it with a hammer

try putting a drop or two of oil on it and angle the screwdriver into the key, tap it with a hammer, if you destroy the key thats fine but dont hit it and tear up your crank.

I actually ended up having to turn the screwdriver sideways on mine and driving it out, it dented the woodruff but doesnt matter because you are replacing it with the sparks key and if you want to go back to stock it only costs like 4 bucks from the dealer

tap down on the side closest to you with with a screwdriver and hammer and the back side will start coming out. BEWARE make sure you tighten the flywheel bolt REALLY good. when i did mine i sheared the key in half after i installed it and started. ii think that my key was down in the slot too far which some people will say it is impossible, but get the groove flush with the flywheel. i was riding with it for 2 months with no problems. just installed my 450r carb and sheared it off again. so i put my stock one back in for now. i will try the sparks key once more after i get my carb tuned in

if the flywheel slid over it and it was tight in the slot then you are ok, just be sure to hold the crank still with a BIG wrench and use a torque wrench on the crank bolt to 94 FT/LBS
while the wrench is holding the crank still

Too bad they don't make a torque wrench integrated for a impact lol

They do, but you cold buy 3 new quads for what they cost, I use them every day. Some are hydraulic, some are set with air pressure. I use them building wind turbines.
