I am getting my shocks done by gt thunder soon and i was thinking i should get +1 before that so they will be set up for them. Is anyone running this setup? is it worth the money? I'm running xc races which is my reasoning for +1

The ones i'm looking at do not come with brake lines, can i get my stocks to work with them? also this shouldnt be a problem to run with 450r shocks right?

what brand arms are you looking at? the stock 450r shock is about an inch longer, so +1 or +2 should bring back down the height issue

stock width is fine for cross-country, at least in the northeast it is. you will need better shocks and tires though.

not sure to tell ya the truth, depends on how much longer long travel shocks are, you might be sitting a wee bit low....

You may want to call/email Laz to see what he thinks, but it sounds like you may want to sell the 450R shocks and get yourself a set of long travel shocks.

+2 or +1 makes no difference in the shock mount location. Regardless of the width of the arms, if they are designed for standard travel (stock length) shocks, the mounts will be in the same location as the stock a-arms.

akrowdieEX -- 450R shocks are not going to work on LT arms, regardless of arm width. The thing is going to sit like a stink bug, and the leverage ratio will be off because of the different geometry. The mounts for LT arms are located out toward the spindle more to increase the shaft speed of the shock, which makes them more sensitive to adjustments. The different mount location requires a longer shock, and depending on the a-arm manufacturer and type of quad, is usually around 19". The 450R shocks are about 16.5", so it won't even be close. You'll either have to buy different arms or different shocks. IMO, it would be easier to re-sell the arms and buy a set of ST arms.
