I am wanting to upgrade my front suspension and dont have the $$$ to do a Elka and Houser setup. I am looking at the BurGard +1 with 450R shocks. Just curious if anyone has this setup and how do you like it over stock? I dont want to go to wide with +2's because I do alot of tight trail riding also.

I have 450s on mine and am happy with them but alot of people are raving about the GTthunder revalves on the 450s. If you have the cash I hear it's all the rage. Mine are stock 450s and do the job, but probably could work better if I got them "done". As for the plus 2s I can speak from experience on my 250r. I bought a set of chromies off ebay and I loved the stability, but you're right. For trail riding which I do alot, stay away from them if you can. Plus ones would probably work better. I got caught between trees quite a bit with the 2s.

i have houser +1's with 450r shocks that were revalved for me when i had the 450r...it is much better than stock...although the +1's didn't make a whole lot of difference...

I'd go with +2s if your gonna fork out the cash for new arms. They made a big difference for me and I ride alot of trails and I can still fit through tight spots. Before my nerfs stuck out more than my wheels and now they're even. You'll love +2's...

i was wondering the same thing, if the +1s made enough difference to be worth the money.. I'm kinda thinking that watever xc track i race on, there has to be alot of other ppl using the plus 2s so i should be alright

I agree i would go +2 on the Arms. I have +1s and wished i went +2s. You could get 4:1 rims later down the road if you were going to ride real tight trails...
