What hipers are you using? The CF1's?

We have been running the DWT champion in a box for a couple of weeks nice rims seem to be pretty light compared to the hipers. We have a race this weekend we will see what the outcome will be :)

A few years ago at Red Bud we had 7 broken Hipers between our team. Wienen broke 2 himself. We are pretty sure they had a bad batch at the time and they graciously replaced all the wheels. Of course, they were pro sponsored riders.

ive been running hipers really hard for the past 3 years, I race MX and im not real easy on parts and they have held up great, im using the Tech 3, the smooth inside ones. Now that ive said this they will prolly break on me this weekend but

ive been running tech3 ive never had this problem befor... i tried to order the dwt champion in box today but there back ordered, i had to call hiper and order new parts, wich is retarded because there under warrintie still but they cant find the part i sent in a month ago, and they take to long to send stuff back... i need rims for walden this weekend, im hopeing this is just a fluke thanks guys for the info

Sucks to hear but it musta been a bad bunch. I am 240lbs and race DESERT(not groomed courses) and have yet to even mark up mine badly let alone break them. I run CF1 bead-locks. I hope the warranty process gets better for those having issues.

I've destroyed everything but, my hipers. I've been through 2 sets of douglas beadlocks.

Have had a set of CF3s for 3 yrs now and, have had nothing but good luck. Really, the wheels are about the only thing that seems to hold together.

and on top of all this BS, hiper tech is the worst company to deal with.... instead of using my warrinty i ended up buying new parts to fix my rims..... half a rim was lost either at there plant or by ups....... i ended up buying dwt's i think this is mylast set of hiper tech rims

I broke an original style front beadlock inner rim and was sad, but not surprised to find out that Hiper no longer sold parts for them. Thankfully I found used parts pretty cheap. I doubt I will EVER buy a new set of hipers, if anything I will switch to aluminum beadlocks. I see no point in a wheel that I can replace parts on if I cant easily buy new parts for the wheel a 2 or 3 years down the road.

idk id still buy hipers for mx over any other wheel, im a big boy, i bent alot of aluminum rims on my 400ex...hipers dont bend.... but they do break on occasion...the only real nuisance about them i have run into is on rocky tracsk in corners the rings have a tendency to chip and break off in chunks
