I really like the Keihin pe24 on ours.

PE's are easier to tune. I don't believe there are any benefits one way or the other comparing a 24mm to a 28mm. We run a 28 D-slide (PWK) though.

Anyone have an opinion about these "stage 6" PE carbs?

Seems like an ok price.

Probably a good carb but not needed. You can get a Keihin pe24 for under $100.

Cool thanx! Sounds like PE 24 it is! Pretty sure the boy is gonna be nicely surprised when he goes from 50-70... depending on my tuning..lol

Well Ive received the kit. : Ported stock 70 top end set up for running stock 50-70 pipe and PE24 carb. Anyone have some starting jetting ideas?
Dave I might have to give ya a holla....
I put it together and ran it yesterday w/ the stock carb (and the biggest jets I have) and am amazed (so is my son Oliver) at how fast it is. But its time to put on the Keihin (once I get the carb boot) and am not sure where to start...it came w/ a 55 pilot (installed) and a 42 pilot, whatever needle it comes w/, and mains from 100-122 (8 jets in total).
Then theres clutching...lol any help would be great, Id just like to hear some opinions.
BTW THANX G-Force Powersports for everything!!! Gary's pricing is unbeatable!! And service is top notch!!

Just slap the 24 on it and see how it does. The 55 should be ok. I would imagine the main to be somewhere from 115-125. Its just gonna be trial and error. Start with the biggest main you have. Put it in and do a WOT plug check. If its a nice brown it will be good. Ifs it grey or white you will need a bigger jet. If its black and wet you need a smaller jet.

Then go to your pilot system. With the 55 in how well does it idle. Im pretty sure the ideal position on the air screw is about 1/2 to 1 1/2 turns out. Less turns that 1/2 you need a bigger pilot. More turns than 1 1/2 you need a smaller pilot.

Thanx! Sounds like the way to do it... then theres clutching..lol a whole different story.
Carb adaptor should be at my house today (hoping) then ill get er on there tomorrow. STill cant beleive how much faster and responsive it is w/ the little sunworld on it...24 is gonna be nice I assume.
Ill let yall know!

Hey Whats up man? Yah gotta be there Im running the mini-track for the day..lol. Actually were having a Harescramble this sunday (unfortunatly no youth quads) which ill be racing my first A-class race and then 5/16-5/17.
Still havent gotten the track finished but this darn rain keeps messin everything up.
I just got the intake kit today (thanx G-Force) and plan to bolt it on and start trying to figure it out tomorrow (depending on weather).
You should come race Portland both days that weekend if you can.
My youngest son (4 y/o) wants to race his PW50 so Ill be busy but Ill be pitting right next to the mini-track. Should be quite a few people there!
