My 03 pred 500 cranks, no start. I have spark, have compression, carb and fuel is clean, battery is fine. She just back fires when cranking, sounds like timing. My daughter was lugging around the yard when it quit. Could the key on the flywheel have sheared, messing up the timing? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, this is the one. According to predator owner.com, alot of people have had this problem. Thanks for the tip watermutt
