I just got a 09 90cc with the 24mm PWK that came with a 130 main and 40 pilot. The throttle response was sluggish everywhere, so I switched to a 110 main and a 45 pilot which seemed to help. My question is, is this too lean? We ride at 5500 feet anywhere from 50 - 90 degrees.

check your spark plug it will tell you if you need to go up or down on your main jet i would go with the richest main first and work my way down if you drop it to low you run the risk of burning up your piston

In FL we jet

42 Pilot, Needle #2 slot, 118 Main Jet

This is with a well oiled Uni filter mounted to the carb at sea level mid 80s temp

It could also be that your clutch stall is high and your belt is engaging before the clutch making the quad start in a higher gear.

Just a thought....it could be making the take off sluggish making the quad work harder to get through the shift and maintain rpms.

Thanks...I ordered the jet kit along with the Uni pod filter from ya so I'll try some different sizes.

Is there an easy fix for the sluggish start? I've also got an 09 70cc DRR that just kills it out of the hole.

erdoug-

Let me know how you pan out. I want to do the same to my son's 90cc. I am a bit leary since I have never installed jets before. I am fairly mechanically inclined so I would imagine it would not be hard. Let me know please. I spoke with Gary and am hoping to place the order soon.

Let me know if I can just order the jets I need. I only see the kits on your site.

With the UNI 2 stage filter I'm at 112 main and 40 pilot. It's a little blubbery between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle. Should I adjust the clip position or fuel screw?

you need to raise your needle clip up (leaner), as Gary mentioned earlier position #2, 5500 ft you may have to raise clip to top position to clear out mid throttle response.
