Will a 300ex or a 400ex work with a drr style throttle cable?

I just checked and you need to use the motorcycle style throttle cable as it uses the threaded end that goes to the thumb throttle. I have a new cable and a 300ex thumb throttle that im not using.

does it reduce the distance you have to push your thumb? Thanks

it sticks out farther than the drr so its easier to push and the kids thumbs dont hurt. They are not reaching for the end of the throttle like they do with a mini thumb throttle. As for shorter distance I cant say for sure. Hope this helps you out Jag.

Im sorry yes it dont go back as far as the stocker. We would be using it but were running a twist throttle. Its lots better than the stocker thats all I know.

we just set ours up with a 300ex thumb throttle. A honda 200x throttle cable worked perfectly. Throttle opens quicker now, and with less effort. And like Toby said, it is easier for them to reach. Deric is hoping his thumb doesn't slip off as much when he lands on the gas now;)
