300ex running bad????? help

ever scence i race my 300ex in the mud its has been running horibly!! it takes for ever to start then when it does and i open it up it seems to pop really bad untill it is fully wormed! if u have any ideas would love to hear them!

clean the carbuerators jets out.

change the plug and check the filter. if the filter's clean then clean the carb. if the carb's clcean its your valves. but since its hard to start defiantly try the plug

Thanks alot that helped me with the starting problem it was the wires going to the coil. but it is still poping when its high in any gear and makes a slight ticking sound. could that be the valves?

yeah your exhaust valve's problably loose or your whole cam chain is loose. i'd check both
