with chrome and nickel i just go over it with a white rouge... no sanding/glass bead. i can remove a good deal of yellowing/bluing on chrome without hurting/dulling the finish. (on the carb) i have a series of blue plug's that i cap off the intake/air filter sides of the carb just like the plug's that comes with a long block engine when purchased in a crate. just cheap old plastic plug's you can get them on ebay by the bag... different sizes in the bag's. after the service i just remove the bowl and all adjusters and jet's/float and completely flush the carb with brake cleaner... then air compressor dry it. never had a complaint yet and i can honestly say i have done over 300 carb's for atv's/dirt bikes to date. endless.... holley/edelbrock and strong berg 92's for trip setups on street rod's... tunnel ram intakes just a ton of classic rod parts. When all else fails.... Mitch you know my addy.... lol, let me know the look on jr's face when he see's that cyl...
