View Full Version : Pics of my 03- what ya think?

Been lurking for a while, made a few posts, so I thought I would share pics of my ride. I got it last fall- traded a jeep for it. Its an 03, black maier's, Fly bars. Since I've had it I have added the UMI pro-peg nerfs, Ebrake block off, MSR Aof clutch, UNI filter, removed the lid, Jetted up a bit, new cables, rear pads, and basic maintainance- adjusted valves,oil change and plug. It runs real good. It seems to be in good shape- the wiring is all original,good frame, tight suspension, etc. Bout all I wanna do for now is get 450r front shocks, slip-on, and new rear tires.

looks good. i think more chrome and polished parts would be great on the black bike.

That is one of the Sharpest looking 03s I`ve seen in awhile!

Thank u very much! Don't mind my neighboor's junk in the background, I keep my yard tidy and landscaped.

I agree, when I stard workin overtime again in late summer/fall, I'd like to get modquad covers for the throttle,master cyl.,oil filter cover, and chain guard- all in the flame pattern. Iv'e taken a wire wheel on the die-grinder to some of parts- looks nice and I like natural aluminum finish.

Not sure if I wanna strip it down and pint the frame- may go all black- frame,arms,swinger, with red or silver accents like the sprocket hub, rear caliper mount, front calipers, and engine mounts. Just enjoying it for now, even though I don't get it out as much as i'd like.

i am doing my hybrid sort of like yours.

frame black
chrome swingarm
chrome a arms
red calipers and hubs
black fenders with red tank cover and hood.
also polished motor and alot of little chrome and polished parts.

The all black look is awesome. Exactly what I will do one day soon. Your bike looks great!

A couple of friendly suggestions though:

Trim the nerf nets.
Replace the rusty front bumper.

For me it is the small things that matter most!

I dig the nerfs. Where did you get them and how much do they run? I was planning on picking up the Pro Armor Fat Pegs, but these look nice as well.

I got them on ebay, cost 219.00 + 15 for shipping, I had them in like 3 days! They seem like nice pieces. PM me for the seller' store, as I'm not sure of this boards policies.
