Have any of you purchased a 440cc kit on ebay that came with the pre bored cylinder, piston, rings, and gasket?

what all do you need for a 440ex besides those things listed? do you need a new crank or cam?

what other engine work would I need to do before or after installing that kit?

I've talked to few people about going 440 and they highly recommend the 416 over it. Basically its more reliable and they can fly. I would look into a 416 over a 440 anyday.

Yeah I had talked myself into the 416 kit before and have been doing research on it, what all do you need to do the 416cc?

Can someone who has recently dont the 416cc bore, piston, rings etc etc etc tell me the rough cost and what all was needed for it?

the 440 kits that come with the cylinder and everything are true bolt on kits. too bad they don't come with HD head studs installed. I just got a new 416 built up with hd studs. a piston kit is about 130, the studs were 75 shipped, the gasket kit was about 25, and the machining was $165 at $110/hour. they said it takes about an hour to go from 85 to 87mm and to hone. the extra 55 was for the hd stud holes to be drilled and tapped.

iv got one of those true bolt on 440 kits and they are not true bolt on kits i had to bore my crank cases to get the cylinder in but other than that they are great kits i got a 440kit with no hd head studs and have had no head gasket problems i did all the work my self so it was cheap too!

my build was about 600 by the time I was done with everything. You need gaskets for the top end, piston, cam, and a new clutch maybe. oh and jets too. Steve
