YFZ450 Carb?

Have any of you tried a YFZ450 carb on your 400EX?

I have guy wanting to sell me one instead of a 450R carb that I am looking for but I can not seem to find any posts through the search that actually answer my questions.

What is the difference between the yfz carb and the 450R carb?

and would I still need an adapter?

Not sure if it would work or not, but if you can get your hands on the 450r carb, I'd get that. I hear nothing but good things and hear its the best bang for the buck like the timing key. I'm working on finding a good deal on one.

yes the yfz carb works! its a 39mm FCR carb i think, its a little tall but fits in barely clearingthe gas tank. you have to strech the stock intake boots over it.
