Reads racing has a decent turnout the last one we went to the mini jr class had 5 and the mini class had 5. There a few tracks down south that are supposed to have good turnouts but we haven't tried them yet. He really wants to woods race, I found the southern Ohio one SOCC's

D-track which is south of Madison is a great beginner track for mx and the mini turnouts are usually good.

Stone City Ranch Raceway has great racing and a great track. Its in Budda Indiana just outside of Bedford. We use to race the mx in 06 and won the points championship there.

d-15 has 4 harescramble races at plymonth. They have around 15 kids. This was my boys first year racing xc and he was 6 at the beginning of the season. There is only one class mini quad and they don't care about age. The older kids are really good at watching out for the younger kids (If you have a wife that worries alot).
