It's added a few mods since these pics were taken.

Most everyone hates on the off brands like these SDG's but I have to be honest, I'm quite impressed with how these things have survived through the beatings my buddies and I put them through.

I like it because I didn't have to buy a bike and then spend another 1-2G on it to make it competitive (I race mine locally). The SDG comes stock with a manual 4 speed transmission, extended frame, taller bars, disc brakes, and tall seat. A couple little things added and I've got it where I want it. With a Honda 50, you're going to have to spend quite a bit to make it fun.
I'm not saying SDG's are the greatest things since sliced bread, but at our races, SDG's are always in the top 3 amongst Yamaha's, Honda's, Kawi/Zuki's.
Go to any of the mini's sites though and watch the haters come out of the woodwork and bash these things.
The name brand ones can be really nice, but be prepared to throw down some coin for them.

i would go with a klx110. such a big market for them its not even funny hah

i just finished putting in my 143 big bore, head, 55mm stroker crank, 4th gear, output shaft, 26mm carb topend on last night.

pitbikes are more addicting than quads so beware..

I noticed before you were from wisconsin before you changed you location did do any of the pitbike races at thunder hill speedway? I might be racing my quad up there but if I ever get a 50 I would like to try out the pit bike races.

Yes I do! That's where we do all of our racing besides a few of my buddies' places. I had heard that they were going to have quads race on the oval track this summer and I was considering giving that a try. I've never raced flat track or ice (I ride on ice a lot but haven't raced) so I kind of want to give it a shot. The pit bike races are a lot of fun. It's a really good time there. Get one and come join us. The more the merrier!

kawabunga where did you get that bike? I really really want one...lol. When i found a site that sold them (xtreme minis i think?) they were unavailable. Also, the site mentioned that it is compatible with honda parts? is that true?

I am more so interested in where to buy.

get klx/drz110 you can ride them near stock, 50s take a whole lot of money to be rideable if you are actually going to ride it. I have had many pitbikes, and still have a few, the klx/drz110 is the best thing you can get, you can ride it near stock, and you can jump/race them stock. 50s on the other hand are very expensive to get good enough to race/ride usally. I have a 50 with about $3,500 invested to get it to be able to be competive. Here is some shots of my bikes, if you could tell me what exactly you are going to be using it for, it will help a ton with us helping you.

They're completely compatible. You can drop a Honda 50 motor right into the frame without any modifications. The motors even take Honda 50 pipes, with the exception that you have to fab up a new mount because the frames are 2 inches longer, no biggie.

We got ours direct from a supplier on ebay. My buddy dealt with the guy so I don't know the exact details. But we paid $1,300 for two bikes in the crate. They were '04's brand new, never assembled. He wanted them gone and I'm pretty sure he sold all 16 because of us.

Friend has a KLK 110 with the 143 kit, BBR swingarm, Marzocchi Forks, Marzocci rear shock, etc.

I rode it a few weeks ago, I'm 6'8", 270# and it hauled me around great! I was pleasantly surprised at how torque that thing was!

If you guys are seriously looking into getting into the pitbike scene go over to planetminis.com

There are tons and tons of opinions on what bike is best but for the money, Pitsters cannot be beat.
