i am in the ending of my resto and would like too know what pipe will be best for my setup what im running is a stock engine no bore with coolhead large dome and vforce reeds, also have airstriker II carb but dont think this is gonna work loks like the carb bore is way to big for intake boot so with the knowledge base here i leave it in your hands, also am looking to purchase a pipe so if you have one in good shape let me know i already have an esr silencer like new i look forward to your years of experience to help me choose the right one thanks

esr trx 5 pipe. centermount if you go bigbore. and you can get the carb to work but you need to put the intake boots in hot water first and then put the carb overthem. clamp it down and in a day or two you should be able to get the carb on again.

If it was me, I would say the ESR TRX-9 pipe. One reason is you play in the sand, and do a little drag racing. Another reason, you're thinking of getting an ESR 310 later down the road.

It may be a little big for your stock cylinder....(not sure), but looking forward I think it would be good for you. Thats currently what I run and I love it.

That I can't answer. Call ESR and see what they tell you. Or maybe someone else will chime in that has a little more knowledge than me.

the best dune or play pipes for the 250r are an old paulturner tt pipe, the esr trx5 (what i use) and the LRD adjustable (has its own issues) more mechanical

the ESR trx5 is a great pipe smooth on the powerband and makes the bike less tiring to ride. ive ridden a bunch of bikes and its my favorite. the centermount or non centermount doesn't matter that much.

the larger pipes above the esr trx5 have a real hard hitting power band which is tiresome to ride its a light switch either on or off so your always clutching n trying to stay in the band where as the TRX5 is nice n smooth through the band.

I got lucky picked up a TRX5 O ring Silencer and Alum O ringed exhaust Manifold for 200 shipped, took a butt load of polishing to get back up to close to new looking, found out there not chromed there heavy duty nickled plated and can polish the scratches out easily will not that easy took a few hours.

IMO if your not ported use your stock carb or a smaller AS that fits in the carb boot (35mm)... that big carb is gonna kill your lowend power and kinda cause the tiresome light switch scenario discussed above...
