Sprayed the bike off yesterday evening, moved it about 8 feet to sit in front of my shed, came home about 4 hours later, jumped on it to put it away. When I turned on the key, and clicked it into neutral the light came on, then went right off, and it hasn't came back as of this morning.

I checked the fuse last night, hit the fuse box, battery, and solenoid with a test light, all were fine. :ermm:

i had that problem when my battery ground was bad where it connects to the frame. easy enough to take it off and clean it up and see if it helps.

Ok, check the neutral wire that plugs into the bottom of the tranny.
(trying to redeem myself now)

did you let water get into the key switch or the handlebar kill switch? they could be bad inside. all it takes is one bad connection, use terminal grease on everything thats what its for, its water proof and stops corrosion.

It's gotta be something simple...

I was thinking the same thing about the key switch, not the kill switch though, because i have no power whatsoever. Would the switch still be good, maybe just have to dry out?

An x2 on something simple.

it sure sounds like a bad ground to me. ive had that happen many times.. same scenario.. turn the key, light pops on, then off.

Yeah, wiggle the wires. :)

mine has broke off right at the frame (ground) they make that wire about an inch to short, longer it wouldn't be so easily broke off, more flexible. so now mines about 2 inches longer than stock and ziptied tight to the frame and out of the way of flying sticks.

good luck on your problem, you can use a air hose with a blower tip on it to speed up the drying process, and possibly clean out some dust and grime.
