I was going to buy a set of shock covers and was looking at the neoprene. Any reason to buy the nylon over them besides the fact that nylon are more easily available? Also, any good vendors on the covers?

Instead of spending around $40-50 on shock covers, I went on ebay and found a set of new plain front and rear nylons for $15 and they work great. Just my opinion...

either kind will work fine for reducing mud and rocks from getting into the shocks.
so it's really whichever one you prefer.

if you ride in alot of water, be sure to remove them after a ride and clean and dry the shocks afterward.

the neoprene does not wear the pain off of the shocks nearly as fast

Exactly, get the neoprene if you can. The nylon will rub the paint right off your springs. I've run both and the neoprene is a lot more gentle on the springs.
