just had 2 axis long travel front shocks rebuilt serviced and the whole shabang and something isnt right..first off i noticed the bike sittin a hair lower on the right side (throttle side) from lookin at it from the front. ok so i inspect them they are not leakin oil or anything i jack it up on level ground floor and that right shock dosent come off the ground same time as the other one it waits until the other shock is 3/4 off the floor before it comes off the floor.... ALSO that right shock i can pick up on the tire and its real easy to compress and the other side isnt WTF

i can hear the oil in that right shock when i compress it but i cannot hear it in the left shock when i compress it

i need some help this is bothering me BADDD

take them back to where you had the rebuilt.

check all your adjustments. maybe the ride height is off on the right side or maybe the rebound?

I'm thinking that maybe on of them is less filled with oil than the other.

If all your adjustments are set the exact same then you have an internal problem which you need to contact the servicer ASAP so they dont claim you did this while riding it.

the rebound is exact same on both compression wont change them i tryed that and preload is set the same.

Right tire and arms surely look like they're sitting on something.

It's off, not sitting properly, not the same level, one is longer than the other, seems like the right shock/ tire/ arm is propped up by something, etc, etc, etc... LOL ;)

almost looks like one shock is 1 inch longer. Id take them back.

the shock on the left looking from the front view that is sitting lower, when i jack it up the right side shock clutch lever side it comes off the ground an inch or more before the other one even comes off the gound. i took it off today and looked at it pulled springs off and it measures 18'in eye to eye. it had some oil on the shaft and bumper but it compressed all they way was real stiff and rebounded back all the way like it was brand new so i cleaned it up and put it all back together rode it a little bit and no more oil is coming out so idk if it was too full or what made it do that. that still dont explain why its leaning and everything...

Loosen the shock bolts on the side you suspect as having a problem, see if anything changes.

how and what would that change anything but it dosent make any difference on mine

alright here some info. i called the shock builder and he said it wasnt the shocks that my frame or swingarm is twisted, i took both shocks off they measure 18'0 so that wasnt a prb, i jacked up the bike with no shocks on it and the same problem accures it still leans to the throttle side and the clutch side comes off the ground 1inch+ before the other side does

so is something twisted? i checked everything nothing was binding in the front end ball joints etc i also measure from the top shock bolt hole in frame to the bottom shock mount in the arms and they both came up 18-1/2 both sides, something is making it lean:confused:

Ive seen over tightened shock bolts and a-arm bolts force on side to bind up, especially when fresh PC is on the parts etc.

mine dosent have fresh PC and when i pulled the shocks off it still is the same...when i pick up on bumper that one side comes off the ground 1+inch before the other side does

your camber looks like its way off on the left side of that picture...may have somthing to do with it.

naw the camber is same on both sides....im starting to think its the swingarm but i dont have a way to check and make sure this is gettin on my last nerve tho:mad:

swingarm is twisted..ive done it before, and had it happen, did the same thing as that.

take swingarm off, put on flat table, and put a level across the front , and across the back..they should both match, if not its def not straight.

I have to agree with Machine, you camber definitely doesn't look equal on both sides. The throttle side is looking to have a little to much positive camber. I'd check it again if you're aren't 100% sure on it.

If the swing arm is at fault, then why does the one side not drop when he lifts the front end off the ground:p When he jacks the quad up, the swing arm should be taken out of the equation.

YFZ frames have been known to "squish". I remember one of lysinger's bikes...he was wondering why he and wayne couldnt find out why they couldnt get the shocks right. then they started taking measurements and come to find out the frame was squished thus making the shock mounts closer together.

mxpimp2000

ive done alot of measuring up front and everything is coming out same for both sides, (pappy) the reason for the swingarm part is i put the jack in front behind the bumper and thats when the wheels come off the ground at different times, i did some investagating and jacked it up behing the foot pegs the main bottom bar that goes across the frame that the linkage bolts to and when i done that the front was equal but the rear was then at different heights, the same side (throttle) side was still on the ground when i jacked it up and the clutch side was off the ground in the rear..so that means the swingarm is at fault correct??

Yea sucks even worse when your quads not even a month old. ha ha

I just ride mine as it is. I hardly notice any difference, and believe it or not, some of the twist has come out. It's not nearly as bad as it was.
