Fuel Tank Caps

What other model bike gas caps fit the 250R tanks?
I read a post about this, but now I can't find it. Thanks.

i believe at least all hondas are the same. If not all tanks.

thats incorrect............ 86-87 = same and 88-89 = same. the 85-86 ATC caps will fit the 86-87 tanks but not the 88-89. if i'm not mistaken, the 400ex and 450r aswell as the z400 cap will fit the 88-89 tank.

I believe there is a different between the 86-87 tanks and 88-89. I do not think the caps are interchangable but i could be wrong. I think the threads are different, but i may be mistaken....

Yes the caps are different between 86/87 and 88/89. Search and you will find the thread with all the pictures and everything. I also can vouch that Ive heard the z400 cap will work, but on the 88/89. If your looking for an aftermarket cap, if it will work on the R, then it will actually only thread onto the 88/89 tanks. The threads are different along with the caps themselves. You can also check 250R.net and find my post on there about it aswell.

Thanks for the help guys. Yes I'm looking for a billet cap.
I have an 86 tank, I also have a 450R and I tried that cap,
it did not work. I'll keep searching.
