1.

I'm usually not much into gloating but I was so excited to see this. A couple people know - so don't spoil it, I want to see if anybody can guess.

If you can post a frontal view pic, we can better determine whatcha got . From this view, it looks like a Laeger to me.

Looks like a laegers narrow with the two front holes on the front shock brace. Optional flip top subframe and orig?. Doesnt have pro peg mounts.... Not sure the linkage and doesnt have the typical Laegers rear shock mount gusset bars. Interesting

Not sure what it is, but I don't think it's a Laeger.

Ding, ding ding. Yes it is. It is my 2009 Laeger Frame. It's so exciting. So flying_250r was pretty much right, but I had people ask me if the frame was an New old stock, but it's not.

It's actually going to be run as a No-link once I get the swingarm.

Figures Dustin guesses spot on and even notices the post missing for the flip top subframe.

Man you should have excluded it from the auction on ebay, i wouldnt be selling it (unless you have another one in mind obviously)

How can it be a 2009 Laeger frame? I thought Laeger's was done. Not only that but Mark Laeger has not built a frame since 2003 that I know of.

250Renvy

It's a 2009 frame because Laeger's WAS done. It's kinda a long story.

Mark built the frames. It only took a couple weeks - great timing on a very limited run.

Does mark still have the frame jigs? Last i heard LRD(i think?) i had gotten the jigs from laeger.

250Renvy

He's not building frames again like he was - like I said, limited run of a handful.

JRspawn, he does still have the jigs - that's how he made these.

hey envy. your very welcome. these are 2009 laegers built by mark. i have 2 of them a 86/87 direct replacement and a 88/89 direct replacement. built by mark in two weeks time. mine have stock footpeg mounts and all the other mics. mounts (i.e. snorkel).

like envy said it is a long story and they are a very limited run of 8 or so frames and that is it. so i have 2 frames and envy has 1 frame. that leaves 5 frames to be made.

just for the record: i tried and tried all last fall to get scott at laegers to build frames for me. every time i called they said no.
the only thing they made for me was 4 headstays.

envy thanks for posting the pic

It just got delivered last week. I've had 3 of these frames used - all have had some kind of damage or imperfections. It's so nice to have something that you know is in perfect shape.

That's my only disappointment in the 250R. It's so rare and hard to find one that hasn't been beat on and has tons of flaws.

The welding on this is so flawless. The other thing is that I've never been able to find a stock replacement narrow front - so custom ordering was awesome. I even have snorkel mounts.
