I like making parts for quads and bikes. i make wheelie bars for quads and one for a dirtbike, that one replaced the fender and was angle iron with a piece of diamond plate welded ontop. i've made a couple 12 o'clock wheelie bars and a bunch of extended grab bars to bang the back down, a dirtbike skidplate, a couple front bumpers, a suicide shift for a quad with the clutch mounted on it, a reverse lever for a 300ex that you push with your foot instead of using the hand pull, a regular shifter, and a few ice racing fenders. im big into metal fab. work and stuff llike that plus im an atv and dirtbike mechanic and rider so that adds to the incentive. for now im going to only post a pic of the fender because i dont want to spam the thread but if you want i can post pictures of specific things.

Ive got a couple of those. Here's one Im waiting to test out. Started out as the stock Dunlop tire on my Z like this....

you should mount the camera on rubber so that it doesn't shake to death
no real need for sound there either

Camera has a rubber grommet where the knob screws into the bottom and I put a peice of rubber hose under it for extra support/vibration dampening. As it is though I think it does well. Im gonna fab up something to protect it a little and should have some footage from Little Sahara next weekend.

I adapted a whole banshee swingarm/axle/breaks to my old blaster. Took a lot of machining. But much better breaks and wider:devil:

This is about half way through the conversion. We made our own shock mount, but it screwed up the geometry and made the rear sit high.

So we modified the stock location to fit the blaster shock, and it was perfect. It has stock rims/tires in this picture, and you can see how wide it is. It's about +4 all total, and it had much better brakes.

lol its a front one and if u try to use a front tire with tread in the sand it slows u down so much so you want as littlle side tread as possiblele and the way he did it he saved about $80 by using tires that are like the ones sold for sand but alot cheaper and they problably work better. They sell some sand ones with no tread. They basicallly act like rutters.

Dude, thanks for the advice but the blaster is long gone lol. I've moved on to bigger and better things (400ex and banshee) but I definitely miss the old girl.

A smooth tire in the sand allows for more floatation and less resistance. The center rib allows you to still have some steering. Skat Trak sells a tire like this for about $80 each.

I finished them and had them mounted on wheels yesterday.

this is an example of some of the meta polishing i do.. this one didn't come out so smooth because it had a bunch of dings and divets in it from a crashh and it was going on one of my bikes so i just wanted to give it a little shine. I can pretty much do it to any motor cover or case.. I polished a whole motor for a guy once, the cylinder, head, igniton cover, clutch cover, and the center cases. and the triangle support anti vibe braces too. The bike lookekd nasyy but the camera i took the pictures of it with got smashed.

not the most amazing homemade fix ever but i really wanted to ride and i blew the head gasket on my 440ex and couldn find just a single head gasket for 89mm piston and have it shipped soon enough so i took a stock honda 85mm head gasket and took a die grinder and made it 4mm bigger. worked for a while that was last fall and im replacing it already maybe not the best mod ever.

I have made a gas can holder for the back, a spark plug rack, strap rack, and a bungie rack. I went through the denniskirk one day and looked for stuff to make in metals class in highschool. they all work great especially the gas can carrier i made. I sprayed it with rhino liner and have 4 u bolts holding it on the subframe. I just put it back on today. steve
