dumb question

On my 04 450r when it's just sitting the oil only comes about halfway up the looking glass. I put some in to fill it up and the next day it was half way again, is this normal or is it supposed to be that way when it sits?

ya mine does that too, i say if it is even less than half way just leave it, it should be alright, but if when you let it sit for a while, and the oil line goes above the sight glass, you might want to drain it a little

well that's good to know just didn't wanna start it up thinkin it was normal and hear it go pow. Had a lota bad luck with lemon bikes latley so hopin this one stays togeather.
