K & N jet kit questions?

My 400ex motor is stock except for a K & N air filter with an outerware cover. It has the stock airbox lid and snorkel "on". I have the K & N jet kit already, but I want to know what main jet should be used? I just bought a .40 pilot jet to put in to cure the cold starting problems, but I want to put in the correct main jet at the same time. The guy I got the 400ex from, had the honda dealership install the jet kit, but from the looks of the contents of the jet kit box, I don't think they installed anything? Does the main jet need to be changed to 1 size bigger just for a K & N air filter?

I'd say start with the 150,,that should be plenty big enough,,if you does not work right go down 1 size..but that should get ya goin in the right direction..

also while you got the mofo ripped apart and installing a new needle that came with the kit. Put the needle clip on the 4th notch from the bottom,,that'll help with cold starts and idling..;)
