2009 MX Racing Build Finshed

It's been a few months and a couple thousand dollars but it is done now. Added a 450r carb, a motor that is supposed to have 426, Hotcam stage 2 and new clutch. Bought new Precision Stabilizer and Burgard a-arms. Welded in gussets so we won't have to worry no more. Here is some pictures of it finished. I have some better ones but I'm saving them for QOTM. I'd just like to thank my sponsors and my dad because w/o them I wouldn't have had the motivation to do this build.

Amazing looking quad. Congrats to you. Is the green on the frame powdercoat or paint? It's a very nice color. That WILL be qotm for sure.

looks good. If i hadnt seen the pic and someone told me they were doing those color combo's, i wouldnt have thought it would look good at all, but I like it.

Yeah, that color green goes perfect with the orange. I love spastic graphics, I was looking at the same set for when I get new plastics... congrats man. Is that a CDB airbox too?

-For the tires I actually used one of those tire maker things for cars make them look custom.
-Plastic is Maier with a Spastic graphic kit
-It's actually paint. Automotive paint with hardener so it isn't just a rattle can job.

Just paint, rode it this weekend and it didn't burn off. Only spot that didn't hold up was where your foot rubs the sides and where oil leaked because the guy spent $100 on a clutch but didn't put the $5 seal in there. :rolleyes:

Thank you. Yeah I kinda went with Spastic's "abstract" lifestyle with this one. Yep I have the full system. My dad actually had to weld the steel on there and make the heat shield. that's the only thing that bugs me about the LRD is it doesn't come with a head shield mount.

yea my e-series doesnt have a heat shield either, sometime i spell melting plastic and it reminds me to keep my boots off of it.

It's painted. It doesn't burn off and it is easy to touch up. Stains a little but what wouldn't.

whats the year and model of your quad. i've got an 01 trx400ex and want to know if the spastic graphics will fit my stock plastics of do i have to buy the new maier plastics

Mine is a 2002 400EX. They are made for maier only.

I wanna try some races in c-class with my 400. Finally got it setup for mx over the winter and spring. One guy told me just get rid of it before you put in too much money and get a 450.

Don't listen to him you can do just as good on the old 400ex. Its all about the rider. I'm going to be trying A class on mine.

Yeah, i thought so. I figured a nice p&p and a 416 would do just fine. You got any videos or pics of you racing?

krt: yeah that is my key since I went to the Tag t2's we either had to get rid of the key or find a place for it so that worked out good.
RIDERED: Yeah 416 would do good maybe a 450r carb too. I was told the motor is a 426, stage 2 cam, oversized valves. I ended up getting 4th at the 1st race in B against all 450s.

Thank you. Yeah we got rid of all the light wiring to make it simple. It was sort of a pain at 1st because we just forgot to ground one thing and it wouldn't spark. We were puzzled for like two weeks. Now everything is really simple and pretty much up front.

Got mine at rocky mountain. You can also buy them off of Maier mfg website.
