What are some good steering stabilizers? I would like one that is Under $150 and is rebuildable.

I was looking at this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2&item=250379564523&category=43974&viewitem=#ht_500wt_974 but i dont know if it is rebuildable or not.

I also was looking at the CCP stabilizer that is only sold on ebay... But why does that one not have a shock type thing, while all the others do?

Any suggestions?

CCP is a "puck" type stabilizer,
The "shock" looking ones are called "stick" stabilizers.

I LOVE my CCP .

go read this thread, I think it may help you to decide.

then decide for yourself, what you like the best, and why,.....
then buy it.

I love my CCP stabilizer! I run it set at 7 for desert racing/trails and 5 or 6 for tracks. No more kick back for me just straight where I point it no matter what I hit.

I run a streamline rebuildable ($135 or so), they make both rebuildable and non. No problems with it so far and it has made a ton of difference.
The one problem I did run into was the mounting, with resi shocks I was running out of room. I had a mount welded in when we gusseted the frame. (see pic)

As for Precision, probably the best, but at 450+ it was not worth putting on my soon to be retired 440ex.

Just FYI,
If your frame is gusseted it might not fit right. look at the pics on that link, it mounts right were the gussets go

Adrian,

Are you going to make round three at Grindingstone? Round two was a blast, let me know. We can pit together. Got to keep the 400's out there showing up 450's

I want to and I hope to get the chance. I missed too many races due to the birth of my son...but I would love to make it to rnd 3. I will keep in touch.
