A while back some of the guys on here said they wanted to see some old nacs pics from when I was on the team. Craig will be posting a few up every day and I will go in and explain after there up.(thanks Craig) Sorry for the quality of the photos they are just old pics that I scanned.

1. This pic was taken at Red Bud MI in 01 it was a fun down hill table.

2. This a pic of my new LONE STAR SPARKS 330 at the first race of the season at Daniel Boone MX in KY. That year LSR hooked us up for sure, otherwise Ive always liked Leagers.

3. This pic is at Loretta Lynns I always thought it was a cool pic.I put a leager frontend on it for the last race but nobody noticed.

1.I had just received the Darren Naccarato memorial award from his dad Jim at the gnc awards banquet in Cincinati OH 2001 I think.

2.Had two identical full Leagers the pic was the day before we left for the first mx national in macon Ga. I won the first mto there in the 250A class and Dana Creech won the main and I got 3rd overall and Jim and Sean Sermini who was the team manager came to me and asked if I would switch to the blue plastic and become a full member. I was excited to death and of course said yes. Back then we were the premeir team period...

3.This was an 88 that I built out of extra parts left over from race season. Even though it was stk framed I always loved it and it was one of my favorites.

1. This pic was in front of my house I had 2 complete Leagers and 1 stk 89 frame with all leager chassis parts fot TT racing. All three quads had CURTIS SPARKS 265 engines.Man it was cool havig 3 race ready quads to unload from the trailer at the natoinals.

2. This was at the hospital in Danville VA Dana Creech took me out in a TT crash. I was hauled off in the meat wagon. The crash was in one of the early Huevos Grande videos.

3. This is how our pits looked the first year.

2001 was my favorite year we had a lot of fun that year!I dont have any of these particular quads anymore! My favorite setup was a Leager narrow frame with cr500 linkage with pep zps shocks all the way around and sparks engine setup!

Does sparks still do 250r stuff? Did your motor have a pv on it? Are you still racing or have you hung it up now? What do you roll on now

Nice rigs! I really like that trailer!

Hey could you post the link I can't find it.... Is it that the one that is the one that is for $10,500?

dustinshuler
04-14-2009, 08:48 PM
1. That was not my personal rig. It belonged to nacs but it is what we used at the nationals my second year.

2.Me talking with Shirley Naccarato just before the TT main at Danville Va 250A.

3.Sitting on the starting line just before the TT 250A main in Danville VA. Man if I knew what I know now I would have let off a little going in to that first turn. It was the race that sent me to the hospital,I got lots of road rash and bruised kidneys and a broken sternum.

4.Just a cool pic at the TT national at the Challenger Speedway in PA.

i have a question... why did you have to run the TT and the GNC to get all the points... why couldnt you just do moto cross or TT? or flat track?

Back then it was called the Grand National Championship. In order to quilify for a GNC you had to quilify in atleast one mx and one tt. So most people ran all of them 5 of each. For me I liked both forms of racing.

Great pics, reminds me of when I was a huge Creech fan (hence the s/n) I had the opportunity to get a tour of the Nac's semi trailer at Mt Morris by Dana's mom, but for some odd reason I chickend out and never made it into the pits. It was however a very fond memory showing up friday night and camping at the track all weekend getting hammered (I was about 14 or 15...) and watching the pros run. Ill have to scan in my pictures from that weekend sometime.

Ya I spoke to Teresa on a few occasions, hence how I got offered the tour. They were deff. a nice bunch of people. I had asked for an autograph from Dana when I was younger and ended up getting an envelope full of stickers and a bunch of Dana Creech trading cards that he autographed.

If I can get them scanned in, I will deff. post the pics up.

The "Axle Eater" @ Red Bud was definitely my favorite jump of all time. I remember one year I was there it claimed like 13 axles or something and a few ball joints. Good times!

Yes I was, but I was still on a 250r at the mx races. However that year Nacs went to the xc nationals also and I was a test rider on the cannondales at 5 of the gnccs, Man those things ripped.Nacs had Ben Jackson, Mark Burns, and Nate Leverenz on moto 440s and Kim Kuhnlee and Tyson Thomas on blaze 440s and myself Zac Willett, Jorge Cuartas on 250rs and Keetan Hanks on a 90 mod. That was 2002 or 2003. Jorge Cuartas now is the owner of the Media Allstars Racing Team.

Its the last one of my pics on page three. The pic as anyone thats been there will tell you does not do the jump justice,(ITS HUGE) The ski jump at Red Bud is what got my axle 1996 leading Jerimiah Jones in the 250b main after winning my first moto heat race.Talk about a long trip home to NC.LOL

Any Cannondale pics you have would be great for the Cannondale websites. If possible please email them to me. The sites went through upgrades a while ago and lost all the old pictures.

Thanks, James

Not sure wich pic your talking about but it has to be turf tamers or american racer tt tires. The pic of me doing the table at Lorettas has hand grooved turf tamers.

Is it the one during the credits where the quad goes flying through the fence?
