Would it make a difference if I use a smaller silencer than the intended application?
I bought an FMF Q silencer for my Z400 hybrid and it is HUGE. Besides cutting the end off the inlet and completely re-bending/welding it, there is no way I will be able to use it for my Hybrid - it is just too large and will likely burn my plastic and stick way out past the grab bar.
So I was thinking of using a 300ex silencer because the one I have for my 300ex hybrid fits pretty good. The only difference is that the pipe is much smaller diameter going into the silencer so will that constrict it too much?
I don't want to spend that kind of money on a pipe just to find out it's choking my motor.
