400ex Smoking Question

Well here is the problem that I have.

I have a 99 400ex and well the last ride before the winter I had a little accident and put it on its side. Now it laid there for about 15 minutes before I was able to regain myself and right it. Now i just got it out after the winter and after I noticed that it was smoking real bad. So i changed the oil and ran it some. Still smoking, I checked the exhaust and I stuck my finger in there and it came out black(HAHA).. anyways. Not sure if i might have screwed something up. Now it was smoking alitle before that happened, but nothing serious. Any experts out there no what could be wrong. I know im going to need a top end soon, its a 99 and never had it done. But I would like to get another season out of it. Let me know what you guys think it could be or if it might just need to be rebuilt. Thanks

May need some rings now. It could have started to cause some blow by once the oil sat in the rings for a while but I am not sure. steve

mine is doing the same thing.. i ran a race on saturday and it burnt 3/4 of a quart of oil in an hour and a half! good thing its under warranty! :D

that 4 year warranty is nice. I got 3 sets of carrier bearings and a rear shock out of it. steve
