I have a 89r that needs to be bored, found out that the cyl is already .80 over and has been sleeved before with the thin sleeve. For the money it's going to take to fix mine would I be better off getting a ESR cyl?

It would be a close call I personnaly would think hard about the ESR cylinder if they are still selling at the introductory price!

Thats the same problem I was faced with when mine quit. I wanted to get it ported, get a cool head and of course get it bored with a new piston.

When all the dust settled, I actually saved over $125 by getting the new ESR cylinder. And at the same time I gained more torque and horsepower. I hope this helps ya out a little.
