I have a 02 400ex with a WB E-Series slip-on and filter. I was thinking of a CDI Box, but I have heard good and bad. I can't seem to find any response of performance besides the rev limiter going up. Has anyone found any difference, and if so what brand?

Don't get one until you have modded the motor. Then you might see an improvement.

The cdi box is the worst mod you can do to a stock or near stock 400ex. Its will give you no proformance gains and only problems. If you put in a topend cam and make you motor more for topend, then I think it might be alright mod.

Alls I know I had to walk my 400 3 miles on the tracks to get home at 10'o'clock at night because of the stupid cdi box.

I also wouldn't recommend a Rev Box unless you have a hotter cam. You won't see any power gains on a stock engine. I didn't. Now that my motor is modded, I miss my Rev Box. It is currently on it's way to White Brothers for repair.:grr Glad I kept my stock box as a back-up.

You said it RAPTORZ,

Im glad I kept my stock one as well. Ive got an XR250 CDI.

It raised the rev limiter, but thats it. My machine isnt set up to use the extra RPMs. If you have to have one, Ill sell you mine for $40. Ill pay for shipping.:D

Dont get it, they dont really do much but make it hard to start in the cold and give you and extra 1000 rpm to blow ur motor with.
