Anyone know what size the hub nut is that bolts the hub to the axle?? I have nothing that even comes close to this size nut so I need to go out and get a socket thats going to fit.
Thanks in advance.

I have a 1 5/8" socket that fits with a little slop, so I would guess that it takes a 40mm socket.

my service manual said it was a 41 mm. I bought the 41 and used it to take it off. Seemed like a tight fit. Use what works! :)

You got a 40? Try it, I own two deep sockets they fit perfect! :D I remember using a 41 on my impact stripped the nut had to buy another one. The factory put it on so tight I had to bounce on a ten foot pole while boy sat on the quad and I ejected him like a cannon!. J/k! :p

Im getting a new Snap on Impact that finally got it off. :macho

I used a 1 5/8" socket on a 3/4" drive ratchet with a 6ft steel pipe for leverage. Worked perfectly.

You are not just a crapping on how hard they put it on from the factory. I don't think anyone at the factory has heard of torque specs. We had a 4' pipe on a socket wrench the frist time we tried getting it off. It would not budge. I had to take it home from my buddies, buy a $30 socket, then use my 650lb impact to get it off. I kept thinking I may be trying to take it off the wrong way. Torquing it on that tight at the factory is just ridiculous. Craig

That's true... Mine was also really overtorqued.
