JB 70 mod tires

What rear tires are people running on the 70's? I was wondering if anyone has tried the new ITP Quad Cross MX pro's? They have a 18-8-8, but I have never seen one. The mod I just got has 18-9-8 maxxis tires but I can not find the style anywhere and it does not have a name on the side. Thanks for your help.

My son has a set of the maxxis 18-9-8 and they are maxxis 940

He also has the ITP quad cross and really likes them. You can also try the Maxxis razr cross 18-6.5-8

Our bike has the Maxxis 940's on it (thanks for the number on the tire). My rider is just starting out on a shifter and I was worried about the ITP quad cross MX pros having to much traction. I think I will stick with the 940 for a while. I just dont like the looks of the 940 and I cant seem to find them anywhere.

My son uses a carlisle turf tamer in I belive an 18x10x8. We tried some of the ITP Quadcross pros in the off-season. The 18x10's were much heavier than the turf tamers and the 18x8 were only slightly heavier but my son really preferred the turf tamers.

I belive the 18x8 quadcross would be a good choice, but my hard-headed boy would not even consider changing.

Did you buy your mod from John Shuey?

Yes I went to Joplin MO and picked up the 70 from John. I have seen the turf tamers before on the 70's but I thought there might be something better/ more mordern. I still can not find the Maxxis 940 on the Massis web site. I am a Can-Am and Arctic Cat dealer and can not find any of the 940's in my aftermarket books, but I will keep looking.

The Maxxis 940 is a special design for Eton atv`s comes stock on Viper 90 and maybe the new Yamaha Raptor 90.Some info on this link.
