Broadband Racers.....please reply

I am thinking about hosting a Broadband tourny, consisting of a National, a Sx and maybe an enduro or either a sx or national in place of the enduro. So whoever would like to participate please reply with your Fury name and what quad you will be using, *REMEMBER* NO B6000 or Ravage! What tracks to race will be up to you guys, so I need your input! I need some help on how to score thought. Also what night would you want to do this?

Give me your ideas!


P.S. Would do you guys think of a Fmx tourny too?

Yep, broadband is like cable, dsl, t1 and t3. Basically anything that is not dial up.

The modem costs about $40. The setup is pretty easy if you know what you are doing. As soon as we get a few more people I will start putting the majority of the tourny together. I am testing tracks right now to see what ones will be best. Please reply when for sure you can and what day you want to do.

It all depends on how many people can race, and when the best time is. If you can spread the word in the ORF 2 chatroom, tell them to come here and sign up! I will have more info when we get a few more people.

i used to race online when i was at school, but now at home here our ISP wont allow my ps2 to connect. then we have to call up our ISP and have them reset our account to get the connection up and running for our computer. i havent figured it out yet but im still workin on it. i want to race you guys agian! :macho

sorry guys i just cant get it working for some reason. ive tried everything, it has told me once though that i was online but it couldnt reach the customer service address or something... you know that thing you have to fill out at the end of setup so it wont allow me to get online. im goign to try a few more things, at least my isp is still letting me use the net this time, last time it shut me off and i had to call in to get it restarted

Hey Jon are you using a router the only way I was able to get my xbox and ps2 online was to use the router "i also use a hub only becuase I have three pc's" you plug the PS2 right in to one of the out going router ports and if you want your pc online at the same time get a hub and run it from that.

Hope this helps with the router it uses the same IP addy as your PC so your ISP dosen't even know hope this makes sence to you:rolleyes: Got my self confused but it works :D

Ya I can get online right now, have you tried to go into your memory card and delete your settings and redo it over, you have to use the disk that came with the network adapter. That might work? I dont know what else to tell ya, can you call Sony about your problem?

yea ive tried redoing it bout 3 times now, twice manually. nothing seems to work. i'd call sony but i think its just an ISP problem im having here.

Hey Jon did you read my reply? Fred how do you run your's right off the cable/dslmodem I couldn't get mine to work that way becuase your isp only alows the MAC address to the pc the accounts set up on to use the net. useing the router masks the MAC address

I wouldnt have any idea....our house is new, so we put CAT5 cable throughout it. So my playstation is on a network. We also have 4 computers on the network. We are using a hub. I had to have my father help with it because he did the networking. It should probably tell ya though how to in the booklet that came with it.

Well I was thinking 1 national and 2 Sx's....and maybe 1 freestyle just for fun. right now we have 8 ppl, Two on the CT, One on the Nacs, and one on the Patriot. The other 4 are undecided.

I was thinking about doing 4 heats for the first track, depends on how many can do it, If we have 4 heats of the 1rst track, then take the top two of each heat in the first race to the next round. in the second round we would have 2 heats, then also take the top two in those heats to the last race, which is 1 heat. The first place finisher would win the tourny.

All of this would work if we can get 8 more ppl....this is a 16 ppl tourny...tell me what u think!

as I suggested in our PM............to eliminate the differences in quads, I think we should run 2 classes. In the first class everyone runs the ct-440. in the second class everyone runs the nacs 250r.

the only comments i can make are that i would rather not see freestyle events at all. i would think most hardcore racers dont freestyle but i could be wrong. also i think as long as you dont allow the ravage black or the b6000, any quad is fine and should be left up to each racer which to run. with the atv2 chat and lobby setup its gona be hard enough to run a tourney and even harder with multiple classes. thx for letting us voice our opinions and these ideas are what i prefer but i will run whatever the tourney is setup to run.
